The driver accused of causing Anderson’s death, 36-year-old Kevin Mills, fled from the scene of the accident without reporting the incident or summoning emergency help to the site. In addition to the wrongful death lawsuit that has been filed by Anderson’s parents, Mills is facing a number of criminal charges in the case, including aggravated vehicular homicide. A court date has not yet been set in the matter.

Surgeon Named in Wrongful Death Suit

A Wisconsin surgeon who struck and killed a pregnant women and her 10-year-old daughter in an April 2008 car crash has been named in a lawsuit filed by the woman’s surviving family members and the parents of another child who was also killed in the crash. The driver, area surgeon Mark Benson, has been charged with three counts homicide and driving under the influence of alcohol. Benson and several insurance companies have been named in the lawsuit.
