Metal Fragment in Sandwich Prompts Lawsuit

Granite City, Illinois resident Jason Waters wasn’t expecting to get a mouthful of metal when he bit into a breaded chicken sandwich at an area Jack in the Box, but that’s exactly what happened. The resulting injuries landed Waters in an emergency dental clinic. All told, the injuries and loss of work cost Waters more than $50,000. Waters has filed suit against the restaurant, claiming negligence in its safety and employee training practices.
