City Employees Sue for Damages After On-the-Job Crash

Two Roanoke, Virginia municipal workers have filed personal injury lawsuits against the drivers who were involved in an April car crash that injured both men. On the morning of the incident, three city workers were repairing a traffic signal adjacent to a busy intersection. When a car and a truck collided at the intersection, the two workers were also hit by the truck, which was propelled toward them by the force of the crash. One city employee, William Gravet, was actually trapped under the wreckage of the truck and suffered massive injuries as a result. Both remain on indefinite medical leave from their jobs.
