Illinois Woman Files Suit in Wal-Mart Slip-and-Fall Case

A simple trip to stock up on household supplies ended in serious injury for Cahokia, Illinois resident Carolyn Case. The shopper slipped on a puddle of water that had accumulated at the base of an ice machine located near an interior door of a local Wal-Mart store. In a recently filed personal injury lawsuit, Case claims that she suffered multiple permanent injuries as a result of the fall. Both Wal-Mart and the company that owns and services the ice machine have been named in the suit. A court date has not yet been set in the matter.
