$1.75 Million Award in New Hampshire Malpractice Case

After a serious car crash in 2003, driver Randolph Hinz received prompt care from a team of urgent care surgeons. Unfortunately, decisions that were made in the aftermath of the crash may have done the injured patient more harm than good, according to the malpractice lawsuit Hinz later filed. Because the doctors treated his fractured leg first, rather than immediately arranging for a blood transfusion, Hinz suffered blood loss-related blindness. After considering the evidence, a jury agreed with Hinz’ account of events and compensated him for his suffering.
