Fatal Car Crash Results in Six-Figure Settlement

A civil case claiming negligence in a 2006 crash that left four teens dead was settled in a Virginia courtroom this month. The crash occurred when the driver, 18-year-old Diedra Reynolds, rounded a dark mountain pass at speeds that police later estimated to have exceeded 95 miles an hour. Reynolds lost control of the vehicle, which careened down a hill, kill all four male passengers. The sole survivor of the crash, Reynolds was ordered to pay over $100,000 to the family of one of the victims in a recent Circuit Court decision.
